Duan Claassen is an experienced engineer who ceased the once-in-a career South African opportunity to play an impactful role in establishing a green-fields cement manufacturing project. He enjoys creative thinking whilst at the same time being as logical as possible. Passionate about the narrative of creating a better life for all, he believes he is truly blessed to be able to be making meaningful contributions in his current role of Chief Executive Officer of DCSA. Continuous improvement through excellence, with people at the core, is what gets him out of bed every day. The company values align perfectly with his own, which he sees as a true enabler of performance. Like many other contemporaries, he strives to strike a better work/life balance by spending time with family and the outdoors.

Khumo Mphake is a seasoned HR professional with more than 18 years’ experience in the field.
She has a proven track record of successfully developing, directing and managing the implementation of people management programmes and initiatives in the manufacturing, mining and financial services industries.
Khumo’s current role is Executive Manager: Organisational Performance, responsible for leading the human resources portfolio for Dangote Cement South Africa. A human resource generalist at heart, she find joys in seeing people develop, grow and stretch themselves in the workplace.
Outside work, she is involved in a Trust that rolls out enterprise and socio-economic development initiatives, as well as education assistance programmes for those who require support in uplifting their lives.

Alfred Radebe is an experienced internal audit professional with a strong passion for governance and ethics. In January 2015, Alfred joined DCSA as Head of Internal Audit. During his tenure, he was seconded to Dangote Cement Zambia until April 2015, where he played a pivotal role in establishing the Internal Audit Department. Alfred's responsibilities encompass overseeing the internal audit function at DCSA, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and group policies. His role also includes conducting forensic investigations, managing whistleblowing investigations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across various business processes

Jennifer Bennette is the Company Secretary, who has over 24 years’ experience in the mining sector, she oversees the Compliance and Legal Department. As Corporate Company Secretary, she is responsible for Corporate Secretarial, Corporate Governance and all statutory/regulatory compliances of the Company.

Robert Mathye is a seasoned Social Scientist with extensive experience in developing and managing social performance management systems within the mining sector. He currently serves as the Sustainable Development Executive and a Director of the community empowerment structure, Torosesha Non-Profit Company. Robert is deeply passionate about community upliftment, leveraging his broad range of communication skills to effectively engage with rural and marginalised communities, as well as highly specialised interest groups and authorities.

Mzi Matola is a seasoned risk expert with nearly two decades of experience in risk management across diverse industries and countries. He currently serves as the Head of Risk and has over the years successfully applied his risk expertise in the banking, insurance, mining, petrochemical, and cement industries. Mzi has worked with and led diverse teams in countries such as Zambia, Namibia, Botswana, and South Africa. He holds a BCom in Economics, a Bachelor's degree in Christian Entrepreneurship, a Post Graduate Diploma in Risk Management, an Executive Development Program Certificate, and a Post Graduate Certificate in Enterprise Risk from various universities.

Heinrich de Beer, a Mechanical Engineer, has 15 years’ service at Sephaku Cement. Initially appointed as Project Manager for the construction of the Aganang and Delmas Plants, he currently serves as Executive Manager Projects, responsible for Projects, Environment and Procurement. Heinrich is passionate about the diversity in his field of work and the constant opportunities for improvement specifically related to alternative energy, fuels and resources. What Heinrich finds most special about his job is the ever-present potential for growth and the chance to make meaningful contributions. Reset and clears his mind on his mountain bike.
